Position Summary:


Navisun is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the accounting function in its growing pipeline of operating solar projects. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting across the broad scope of accounting to support the department’s overall needs. This role will be primarily focused on our operating project portfolios, however, there will also be exposure to our development portfolio.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent organization, flexibility, adaptability and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and research discrepancies as they arise, raising issues to accounting management
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 1 – 2 years of general accounting experience
  • Eager to learn and grow as an Accounting Professional
  • Strong ability to demonstrate effective time management skills
  • Proficient in computer skills with intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Index/Match, XLOOPUP, etc.)
Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities in relation to operating solar projects
  • Support monthly Cash Reconciliations and General Reconciliations with required documentation
  • Maintaining and establishing vendor and customer records in the ERP Master files
  • Assist in providing audit documentation for assigned entities
  • On an as needed basis, assist in researching and resolving both customer and vendor account discrepancies
  • Responsible for preparing standard Depreciation, Amortization and Account Reconciliation for review
  • Preparation and entry of various closing entries related to operating projects closing process
