Powering Growth and Communities: Navisun Reflects on a Year of Success

The Navisun team recently gathered together to reflect on and celebrate our successes in 2025 and the opportunities ahead of us in 2026. While 2025 had its share of challenges for the clean energy industry, the Navisun team charged ahead with its development pipeline, bringing new projects online, inking new partnerships, driving our operating business forward, and expanding our efforts to give back to our local communities. As 2026 begins, our team is building on the groundwork we laid last year as we step into the solar industry’s next era.

Here are some of the accomplishments we are most proud of in 2025 and where we’re heading in the coming year:

Expanding our solar energy fleet

Navisun successfully commissioned approximately ~16MWdc of solar and ~9MWh of storage.  Of this,  ~10MWdc (all of the storage) is located in our home state of Massachusetts. These projects participate in SMART, a long-term incentive program that promotes cost-effective solar development in the commonwealth. These projects support local grid resilience by generating power close to where it’s consumed while expanding access to affordable, locally produced electricity for everyday residents and municipal partners alike.

Navisun's solar and storage system in Southwick, MA, energized in June 2025, serves local low- and middle-income communities.

We also celebrated a milestone in the Midwest, commissioning our first-ever operating asset in Illinois, a landfill project that serves several municipalities and small commercial businesses within the Ameren service territory. The project was designed and built on a landfill that has ~3.1MWdc operating as a tracking system and ~2.5MWdc in a fixed tilt design. Together, these milestones represent a 14% year-over-year increase in operating capacity, bringing our overall distributed solar portfolio to more than 130 MWdc nationwide

We’re not stopping there: In 2026, we’ll continue to advance our robust development pipeline, with approximately 100 MWdc of projects in advanced stages of development, of which we anticipate commencing construction on ~70MWdc and roughly 16MWdc of that capacity scheduled to be placed in service this year. This includes our first portfolio of end-to-end self-development projects following the expansion of our business development capabilities in 2024, with Navisun handling every aspect of origination, development, construction, and operation. These projects will continue to benefit from federal incentives and Navisun will continue to build on its community engagement, providing benefits to low and moderate income rate payers and to the communities we operate.

Embracing operational excellence

Navisun leveled up its operations and management (O&M) best practices in 2025 by continuing to build out a robust asset management framework. The team conducted thorough reviews of existing projects, analyzed years of O&M data, and selected new digital tools to empower our O&M teams to maximize asset performance. The result has been less downtime and faster decision-making. Over the past two years, Navisun has slashed the time to resolve high-priority tickets by nearly 38%.

This work is paying off not only for our assets but for the industry: Our very own Stephen Campbell, Chief Operations Officer, was selected to present a poster highlighting this transformation at RE+ 2025 in Las Vegas, allowing us to share our learnings with O&M peers. Taylor Oldro, Navisun’s senior director of asset management, also played a pivotal role in bringing this presentation to life.

Operational excellence also means keeping our people, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants safe. In early May, Navisun employees across the company, including field, construction, warehouse, and operations teams, participated in our Safety Week event. Marked by training sessions and presentations from Navisun’s Julie Beauchemin, Edward Edwards and Stephen Campbell, and Graham Courtney and Stephanie Cavanagh from Contractors Risk Management, the week reinforced our shared commitment to health, safety, security, and environmental stewardship.

Thanks to our teams’ diligence, Navisun experienced zero health and safety incidents throughout the year. This is no small accomplishment, and it’s a standard we strive to meet every year as we continue to grow.

Supporting communities across the country

The energy transition is not just about delivering power but making sure that clean, affordable electricity reaches everyone. Navisun continued to grow our fleet of solar and storage projects serving low- and middle-income communities. In 2025, we expanded the number of these households that we serve in Illinois and Massachusetts, adding both new projects and existing assets. Together, these efforts represent approximately 13 MWdc of committed or generating capacity dedicated to supporting low- and middle-income ratepayers.

These projects and the communities they serve are an important part of our work — we believe clean power should be within reach for everyone. Across our fleet, Navisun now has roughly 15 MW of LMI-focused capacity, accounting for >10% of our total portfolio, underscoring our commitment to making clean energy both inclusive and accessible.

Navisun continued our efforts to strengthen our relationship with the communities where we operate. For each quarterly business review we held in 2025, the team found a way to give back, from packing lunches for people experiencing homelessness, to cleaning a park prior to spring activities in Canton, MA, to donating electronics to domestic violence and human trafficking survivors, to sponsoring the local baseball team and cleaning up public trails in Wareham, MA. We also provided opportunities through donations to several parks, scholarship funds and boy scout initiatives. We believe our presence in communities should go beyond just delivering electrons — we care about the people and places that our projects impact.

Recognizing our team

The Navisun team braved the end of a winter storm to attend our year end celebration at Amelia’s in Stoughton, MA.  Our time was spent catching up with our team members, toasting to a great and challenging year and listening to music provided to us by our very own, Nathan Russell. Navisun believes in shared success and our results in 2025 would not have been achieved without the entire team but we did want to take the time to recognize some of the group as has become our tradition at this event.

  • Novelist Award: Taylor Oldro won the award given to the individual that provides exceptional attention to detail in communicating, both written and verbal.
  • Old Faithful Award: Karen Beighley was dependable supporting our operating, development and construction teams throughout 2025, always finding a way to contribute to our success.
  • Duct Tape Award: Paride Pirrotta visited all of the Navisun sites in 2025 constantly identifying and correcting our operating assets to keep them producing throughout the year.
  • P’s and Q’s Award: Rachael Shook received this award for consistently showing excellent manners, professionalism, and respect toward others.
  • Octopus Award: Lindsey Boyer won the award for supporting all teams across the organization, driving results, supporting success and being the leader that the team could count on to assist their success.
  • Navi-SUN Award:  Presented to the individual who consistently exemplifies the company’s values, culture, and mission and delivers exceptional results. This year’s recipient and MVP is Nathan Russell.

It was a great night to celebrate the successes of these individuals together but more broadly the entire team!

With new projects coming online, a deep development pipeline, strong financial performance, and a continued commitment to safety and community impact, Navisun enters 2026 ready for continued success. We’re proud to deliver reliable, high-quality electricity to our neighbors and partners.
